special delivery

Happy Easter everyone! This is by far one of my favorite holidays. And not just because we get to eat lots of yummy food :). {Usually} there is good weather this time of year, lots of fun activities for the kiddos, church with the family, and we can finally wear white pants and shoes again! Can I get an amen, ladies?!

I am always looking for things to do with my boys, so here are a few fun projects we did this week:

1. {fake} painted eggs

Y’all, whoever created this is a genius. I have always dreaded avoided egg painting because it’s such a mess and the preparation takes so long. Don’t even try to involve a toddler if you would like your kitchen to look the same before and after haha. But this is gold. Not only did Caleb have a blast, but I had so much fun too. And what’s better than an activity that the parents enjoy as much as the littles? Oh and cleanup was a breeze. I got all this at Wal-Mart (only $2!) and will definitely be doing it again next year!

2. footprint cross

Such a special keepsake. Not as easy and clean as the eggs, but who doesn’t love a precious little footprint? I also used this craft as a time for me to talk with Caleb about the true meaning of Easter. Although he won’t truly understand for a while, planting those seeds at this delicate age is so important!

3. rice crispy eggs

Classic. As much as Caleb loves to {cough, cough} help me in the kitchen, he absolutely loved this. And if you don’t like rice crispy treats, then you ain’t right 🙂

Once we finished all our goodies, we packaged them up and hand delivered them to the boys’ grandmas. Needless to say, they loved them. Such precious memories with these sweet boys!

Anyways, hope y’all have a wonderful Easter and enjoy the pictures. I would love to know what kind of crafts or activities you did for Easter or are planning for other holidays! I am always looking for new ideas. Have a great week and we will chat again soon!

  1. These are great ideas!! I never dye eggs with my girls either because of the mess, but next year I will definitely have to get some fake eggs and let my girls go to town.
